Group Managing Director

James R. Stahle
Mr. Stahle has been actively involved in the structured tax and non-tax finance business for over 21 years.  His primary focus has been on the asset finance marketplace, providing funding to all sectors of the large cap and middle market sectors.  Prior to establishing the principal and investment banking business at CPG, he ran the structured products and advisory banking platform at BTM Capital where he was responsible for transacting in excess of $20 billion worth of financing.  Mr. Stahle started his career at New England Merchants/Bank of New England as a commercial lending and syndication officer providing asset based financing to middle market companies on a national basis.  He is currently involved at the board member level for the Melmark New England School and the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.  He holds a BS in Economics and Business Administration from Colby College.

Managing Directors

Andrew D. Briggs
Mr. Briggs has over 17 years experience in a wide variety of both domestic and international structured finance transactions involving assets primarily in the manufacturing, transportation and infrastructure sectors.  During this tenure, he has worked in various capacities including economic modeling, structuring and advisory services and most recently in debt and equity syndication.  Prior to joining CP Global, Mr. Briggs worked at GMAC Commercial Finance, Dexia Global Structured Finance and BTM Capital Corporation.  He holds a B.S. in Finance from Northeastern University.

Michael A. Feng
Mr. Feng joined the company in 2003 and oversees economic modeling and the development of various structured finance products.  Prior to his joining CP Global, he was at the Tax Products Group at BTM Capital Corporation, where he helped develop and execute various tax-intensive asset finance transactions.  Mr. Feng has also held positions at TenFold as a software developer for trade-order management systems, and at Harvard University, where he taught geology, chemistry, and statistics. Mr. Feng is a graduate of Harvard University with highest honors in Chemistry.

Michael Gangemi
Mr. Gangemi has been involved in structured finance; including aviation and structured credit trading for 19 years.  Prior to joining CW Partners Mr. Gangemi was Managing Director and Head of the Special Situations Group (SSG) at Deutsche Bank.  Within SSG he established and managed the aircraft trading and portfolio financing businesses.  From 2004 through 2008 SSG purchased/sold in excess of $700 million of aircraft and underwrote and syndicated in excess of $4 billion of aircraft portfolio financing.  Mr. Gangemi was also responsible for origination, distribution and trading of credit and asset risk in a wide range of physical and financial assets subject to lease and other illiquid forms of contractual claims involving intellectual property, insurance, containers, shipping and legal settlements.  SSG’s balance sheet averaged $1 billion with P&L over the past 24 months in excess of $100 million annually.  Prior to DB, Mr. Gangemi was Managing Director and Deputy Chairman of New Boston Partners Ltd., in London and Managing Director of BTM Capital Corporation.  Mr. Gangemi received his MBA from the University of Virginia and his BS from Babson College.  He earned his CPA while working with Coopers & Lybrand and is Series 7, 24 and 63 registered.

Ben Jacoby
Mr. Jacoby has over 20 years of experience in the development, financing and asset management of independent power generation facilities.  Prior to CP Energy, he held various positions with Enron Corp. from May 1998 to February 2003. As a Vice President of Enron North America, Mr. Jacoby was responsible for certain gas-fired power project development and wholesale origination activities, including development activities related to over 2,000 MWs of gas-fired peaker projects constructed in the Southeast and Midwest. From 1990 through 1998, he held various positions with KENETECH Corporation, an independent power producer with a significant presence in the wind power sector. As Vice President of KENETECH Corporation, Mr. Jacoby was responsible for wind project finance activities including project debt and equity syndications. During his career in the energy industry, Mr. Jacoby has originated, negotiated and closed a wide variety of transactions having an electric generation capacity in excess of 8,000 MW and a value in excess of $8 billion in the aggregate, including wind power, solar, geothermal, biomass, gas-fired, and other electric generation technologies. Mr. Jacoby earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1990, and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1987.

Megan H. Lawrence
Ms. Lawrence joined the CP Global team in 2006 and has been actively involved in the financing of numerous wind, solar and geothermal projects, as well as several merger and acquisitions involving renewable energy projects and platforms.  Prior to joining CP Global, Ms. Lawrence was an attorney in the Project and Structured Finance Group of Bingham McCutchen LLP for 8 years. At Bingham, she represented developers, equity investors, and lenders in connection with transactions involving a broad array of energy projects, including wind, biomass, hydro, fossil fuels, and waste-to-energy. Ms. Lawrence also has significant experience working with start-up companies and on debt restructurings in the energy, rail, and industrial equipment sectors. Ms. Lawrence has a B.A. from Boston College and a J.D., summa cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School.

Martin J. Pasqualini
Martin Pasqualini has over 19 years of experience executing a wide variety of project and structured financings, including extensive experience representing sponsors, equity investors, lenders and construction contractors in connection with the development, financing, operation, acquisition and disposition of domestic and international power projects. Since 2004, he has advised sponsors and capital providers on approximately 30 renewable energy project financings representing 6,000 MW of installed electric capacity and $3.5 billion of capital investment.  Mr. Pasqualini has also advised developers in connection with wind energy development platform dispositions and joint ventures, as well as single project dispositions.  Mr. Pasqualini has negotiated debt and equity financing documents and the entire range of project documentation (power purchase agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, wind easement agreements, construction contracts and manufacturer's warranty agreements) associated with the development and financing of wind-powered electricity generating projects. He has worked on energy projects throughout the continental United States and has also worked on energy projects in Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Scotland and the Dominican Republic. In addition, Mr. Pasqualini has been a member of the board of directors of PowerOptions since his initial election in 2000. PowerOptions is the largest power buying group in Massachusetts, with more than 400 members and annual purchases totaling $250 million in electricity and $10 million in natural gas.  Prior to joining CP Global, Mr. Pasqualini was a Managing Director in the Tax Products Group at BTM Capital Corporation and was formerly a partner in the Project and Structured Finance Group of Bingham Dana LLP (now Bingham McCutchen LLP), an international law firm headquartered in Boston. Mr. Pasqualini earned his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Boston College and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School and has been a member of the Board of Overseers of Boston College Law School since 2005.

Michael V. Quinlan
Prior to joining CPG, Mr. Quinlan was a member of the Tax Products Group at BTM Capital Corporation. Over the past 17 years, he has worked in various capacities including structuring, origination, and most recently in equity syndication. He is responsible for raising equity in leases and other tax-oriented transactions, both domestic and cross-border. He is also responsible for maintaining our existing investor client base as well as cultivating new equity investors interested in pursuing tax oriented investments. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire.

Randy Shumate
Mr. Shumate is the President of CPG Capital Resources, formerly Midland Capital Partners (MCP).  Prior to establishing MCP, he served as Executive Vice President in charge of the direct marketing operations of Transamerica Equipment Financial Services with full P&L responsibility for the $1 billion middle market organization.  Mr. Shumate started in commercial finance with ITT Commercial Finance in 1987 and held positions with increasing responsibility in credit and sales until 1991 when he was promoted to Senior Vice President in charge of the Midwest Region.  Under his supervision, this region grew from a startup to generating one of the highest ROE’s (28%) within the organization before ITT was purchased by General Electric in 1995.  He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a business concentration in Real Estate.

Cornelius Jackson
Mr. Jackson is a financial analyst who joined the company in 2009. He has been involved in pricing and structuring asset finance transactions for over 12 years. Prior to joining CP Global, he worked for more than eight years at Babcock and Brown pricing and helping to structure numerous renewable energy transactions. Mr. Jackson also held pricing and structuring positions at Sumitomo Bank and The Transportation Group. Mr. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics and Business Management from Cornell University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder.

Stephanie Prevost
Prior to joining the company in 2008, Ms. Prevost was a Vice President in the real estate department at Capital Crossing, a division of Lehman Brothers Bank, FSB, where she managed ongoing intake and disposition of commercial real estate assets throughout the country.  Ms. Prevost was formerly an attorney in the Project and Structured Finance Group at Bingham McCutchen LLP in Boston where she worked on both energy and real estate project financings. Ms. Prevost has a B.A. and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a certificate in Business and Public Policy from Wharton.

Matthew D. Cammack
Mr. Cammack joined CP Global in 2011, and is involved in the execution of financing and M&A transactions in the energy sector.  Prior to joining the company, Mr. Cammack was an attorney at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where he specialized in private equity transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, recapitalizations, and restructurings.  Previously, he was an Assistant Vice President at FleetBoston Financial (now Bank of America Merrill Lynch) and Suntrust Bank, where he was involved in underwriting credit to large and middle market companies in a wide range of industries for growth and acquisition. Mr. Cammack received a B.A. in International Relations from Tufts University, and a J.D. from Georgetown University, where he served as an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.

Yiyun Tsai
Prior to joining CP Global in 2009, Ms. Tsai was a quantitative analyst in the Structured Products Group at Deutsche Bank, where she worked on structured transactions across multiple asset classes including aircraft trading, lottery receivables/legal settlements, and RMBS securitizations.  She has also held analyst positions at Fannie Mae in the company’s Portfolio Management and Credit Portfolio Strategies groups.  Ms. Tsai has a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Finance from Cornell University.

Chief Financial Officer

Eric J. Plugis
Mr. Plugis joined CP Global in 2005 as the company's Chief Financial Officer.  From 2002 to 2004 Mr. Plugis was the General Manager of U.B. Vehicle Leasing in Boston (a subsidiary of the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi), where he managed an operation encompassing over $1 billion in assets and 62 staff.  Mr. Plugis was with BTM Capital Corporation from 1985 to 1999, serving as its Treasurer from 1993 to 1999, and before that as Director of Planning and Analysis.  Mr. Plugis is a graduate of the Sloan School of Management at M.I.T. and earned his B.A. from Brandeis University where he majored in Economics.
